Lace curtains are very popular in England. This particular look is REALLY popular. I'd say about 80% of houses I pass on the way to work have lace curtains. I'm not a huge fan.

btw - I was on a hill when I took the picture, hence the weird angle!

You'd hope so, but I do fear that there are some young people who can't let go of the look.

North of the border (at least) we call them 'nets'. I can also confirm that at least in one street in Glasgow, they're called 'hoor's knickers'!
