Classic English red!

Sorry, it wasn't a very exciting day. This is the Japanese Red Maple in our front garden. The leaves are still on it, but the tips are starting to curl, so it won't be long!

The fog hangs over the River Avon early in the morning. I'm going to miss my bus ride to work when I move. It's really beautiful.

195/365 - Water

Hot on one side. Cold on the other. Nothing to mix the two together. How do I cope!?

I was in Sheffield for work. This is the view from my hotel. It was pretty nice!

See this guy? A few months ago I went all 'American' on him. The bus ride home is about an hour on a good day. On this unfortunate day I forgot my iPod and only had a book. The bus was full, it was annoying, but it was 5:30pm on a work day. What do you expect? So this guy ended up standing next to me while I was sitting in one of those seats right behind the driver. For the ENTIRE journey he muttered under his breath. At first, I agreed with him. It was an annoying ride. The bus was packed and the driver just kept picking up more people. But then people started getting off and he was still cursing under his breath. The driver would stop at a red light and more cursing! Don't curse the driver for driving responsibly! This went on for at least an hour and I just couldn't take it anymore. I tried. I really did. I couldn't believe how much his negativity was making my blood boil. So I did it. I got up the courage to say, 'Your comments aren't making this journey go any faster.' At which point he told me to mind my own business. I told him that he was making this very difficult and I would appreciate it if he could keep his comments to himself. So, yes, I was a bitch. But at least the final 10 minutes of the trip was in peace!

Pretty sunset!

Wednesday, 15 October 2008

It's already dark when I come out of the gym at 6:45. It's also dark when I wake up at 6:30. Winters in England are really no fun.

Obie and I are looking for a wedding photographer. Here we are annoyed that it's taking so long for the websites to load.

Just messing around with the black and white.

Sorry, another fog picture, but with cows this time!

Wednesday, 8 October 2008

The fog was hanging low this morning. Fortunately the bus was early so we had to stop by this field for a few minutes to get back on schedule and I was able to get a picture!

Tuesday, 7 October 2008

I was back in the ol' hood this morning. I really miss living over there.

Monday, 6 October 2008

Obie and I were looking for places to live in Dublin. It's way too early to look, but I can't stop myself!

It's like a winter's evening out there! You can't tell, but it was blowing a gale!

Friday, 3 October 2008

Today was Jeans for Genes day. It's supposed to be a fun day where everyone who normally wears suits to work gets to wear jeans and you raise money for charity. Well, we can wear jeans everyday, so they thought it would be fun if people dressed up instead. Here is a picture of some colleagues! Tom bought a monocle for the occasion, but I guess by the end of the day his eye was bruised, so he had to hold it up!

Thursday, 2 October 2008

It was my colleague (they make fun of me when I say coworker) Kelly's birthday last week. We celebrated today in our team meeting. She loved the big button we made her wear. The little drawing behind her is a picture of her wearing the t-shirt we bought her. It's currently on backorder, so this is what she got. The t-shirt is printed with a quote from the Princess Bride, Kelly's favorite movie! She'll tell you all about it if you'd like. Laura is the other person in the picture. She made a kick ass chocolate cake for the big celebration!
