At the advice of Carrie and Gavin I bought this ridiculously expensive comb to help with Obie's matting issue. It cost me $38 and this is the small cat sized one! As you can see it works. This is the hair I got from just around Obie's neck! Hopefully there will be no more shaving appointments!

Wait a minute... wouldn't a cheap slicker brush work too? http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2752784

The Furminator is sooooooo much faster and easier than a regular cat brush. I think that the faster part is probably most important because I hate brushing cats and my cats hate being brushed.

Hey Kim, you could have bought one in the UK and paid £38 for it. Think of it that way and you got yourself a bargain!

Stephanie, your cheap imitations are futile against my cat's hair! The Furminator is where it's at! I've tried everything with this cat and nothing has helped. Hopefully it was worth the investment! Rob told me he bought something called Zoom Groom and I laughed in his face. He'll learn.

You're right Carrie. Wes and I discussed how much it would cost in the UK and the sticker shock would have been worse.

I have never for even one second regretted buying a furminator. They are FRIGHTENINGLY effective. I usually end up covered in all of the hair myself though!
